Monaghan Tooling Group, an industry leading supplier of cutting tools, introduces Vergnano P900 High Performance Forming Taps, designed for blind or thru holes in mild or stainless steel, light alloys, and super alloys. Constructed of HSSZ powdered metal high speed steel and coated with either TiN or RED MAXX, they are engineered to meet the highest production demands with unparalleled tool life. Available in both 45-degree right hand or left hand spirals, with standard or long shanks, they produce ISO metric coarse thread (type M) in sizes from 1mm to 42mm (0.0393” to 1.650”).
Chamfer forms C and E are offered, as well as thru-coolant or external coolant designs. Tolerance options include 6X, 6HX, 6GX, and 7GX. Vergnano P900 Taps are designed for increased speed while maintaining tight tolerances, ensuring the structural integrity of the critical thread components. With twelve standard versions, these taps are ideal for creating blind or thru threaded holes with precision, speed, and reliability, making them ideal for industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, agriculture, and general manufacturing applications.
