Dallas Industries a leading manufacturer of coil handling, press feeding equipment and controls for the stamping industry has announced that Precision Tool & Stamping, Inc. (PTS), Clinton, NC has taken delivery on a new Dallas Industries conventional feed line.
The 42 in.wide conventional line features a 10,000 lbs. capacity uncoiler with coil restrictor and load car, a model DPS- 3.0- 7- 42 powered straightener with HI-TORQUE backups and an alligator peeler/theader, a ETT-42 thread table and a model DRFM-442 cabinet-mounted servo roll feed.
The line is built on an Allen-Bradley, ethernet-based control architecture and feature SyncLoop and ProfileSelect™. The SyncLoop control synchronizes the feeder and straightener speeds to dramatically enhance the loop’s stability and control.
ProfileSelect™ is a unique feed control system that is exclusively available through Dallas Industries. It uses a cam-motion (sinusoidal) profile. This smooth profile results in a feed motion that utilizes 100 percent of the press feed window, reducing stress on the material and the feed’s mechanical components.
With over 25 years of experience, PTS offers a complete range of tool and die, metal stampings, CNC milling, and wire EDM capabilities. The entire process of die building is done in-house, ranging from die design to completion of tool and production parts.
Dallas Industries’ full line of products includes conventional and compact coil feed lines, as well as servo feeds, air feeds, heavy-duty straighteners and coil handling equipment.
