TRUMPF Inc. has announced that Heidi-Melanie Maier is now the new vice president of technical services, responsible for governing the technical service, spare parts, and training groups for customers in North America. Maier has a proven background managing technical service and communications and has worked at the company for more than 24 years.
Maier was previously the TRUMPF Inc. National Service Director, a position she held since 2021. During her tenure, the service department was reorganized to focus on technical competence in all job profiles. More than one hundred new service technicians have joined the team over the past three years. Additionally, during this time, the company invested in a new spare parts warehouse in Indianapolis, and the inventory of stocked spare parts in North America has doubled.
As vice president, Maier will lead the team of technical experts in further advancing the service, spare parts, and training experience for TRUMPF Inc. customers. “Manufacturers depend on TRUMPF machinery and services for reliable and profitable production. My most important key figure is the machine uptime of our customers, and I look forward to overseeing the team that enables our North American customers to continue achieving business success,” says Maier.
Maier moved to the United States six years ago to serve as the director of sales and marketing for TruServices and Smart Services at TRUMPF’s North American headquarters in Farmington, Connecticut. Before that, she served in various leadership roles in communications at TRUMPF Group headquarters in Germany.
“Heidi’s exceptional communication and management skills and her deep understanding of both our customers’ technical needs and our company make her well-suited for success in her new role as vice president,” says TRUMPF Inc. President and CEO Lutz Labisch. “It is my honor to welcome her to the leadership board managing our business operations in North America.”
