Industry-leading Press Technology
AIDA-America (Dayton, OH), a metal stamping press manufacturer, will demonstrate advanced, industry-leading press technology, including two AIDA servo presses, in Booth S-28003.
For the first, AIDA-America will partner with A-G Tool & Die, Dallas Industries, and Pax Products, Inc. to demonstrate a 200-ton straightside servo press as part of a full progressive die production line stamping parts. Debut of LS7 Laser Cutter with 20 kW Power
In Booth S-22061, BLM GROUP USA (Novi, MI) will demonstrate its LS7 laser cutting system, newly available with 20 kW laser power, enabling high-quality cut materials at higher speeds with an increase in productivity.
The LS7 has an axis acceleration of up to 2g, optimizing processing cycles and minimizing downtime while the fully electric nine-second pallet change can increase productivity by up to 9%. Since the material handling is fully electric, the LS7 also improves maintenance and energy usage.
Equipped with the company’s patented Active Tools, which automatically adapt process parameters for optimal results independent of operator experience, the LS7 delivers the highest cutting precision and speed. Additionally, an Active Nozzle Changing feature automatically monitors the wear of the cutting nozzle and exchanges it based on the condition set within the controller.

Next Generation Forklifts and Material Handling
Combilift (Annahagh, Monaghan), the Irish material handling specialist, has a solid presence in the steel industry. The Combi-AGT, unveiled at last year’s edition of FABTECH, demonstrates the commitment to the metal forming and fabricating industry. Combilift will be in Booth S-26059.
Developed by Combilift’s automation team, the Combi-AGT is a four-wheel electric stand-on model, making it the world’s first autonomous dual-operational sideloader for long loads. With a lift capacity of 11,000 lbs. and up to 470” lift height, it addresses the requirements of steel service centers and the metal industries, which typically handle long loads. The design is based on the electric, manually operated Combi-GTE model, known for its efficiency in rail-guided narrow aisles.
The Combi-AGT is equipped with laser-based sensors to create an anti-collision safety system, as mandated by the American National Standards Institute. When the sensors detect an obstacle in the truck’s path, the machine will automatically slow down and come to a stop in case of an emergency. Once the obstacle is no longer in the sensor’s range, the Combi-AGT will resume driving automatically. The adaptive safety system can adjust the size of the obstacle detection zones based on the forklift’s steering angle and speed.
Another exceptional forklift catering to the steel industry’s needs is the fully electric Combi-CB155E. It is the most compact 15,500 lbs. capacity counterbalance forklift in the market. Rapid Mobile Bending Cell to Make its U.S. Debut
TRUMPF Inc. (Farmington, CT) has announced its new, rapid mobile bending cell will make its U.S. debut at FABTECH. The new automation solution, TRUMPF’s Flex Cell, offers highly efficient bending in combination with the TruBend 7050 press brake. In just a few simple steps, operators can dock the mobile robot cell onto the bending machine and operate it automatically. The machine can run autonomously for several hours. This automation solution helps companies handle order surges and combat labor shortages. The combined footprint of the Flex Cell and the TruBend 7050 is less than 107 square feet, compact enough for any production environment.

The Flex Cell has a double-sized material buffer that ensures it has enough material to feed the TruBend 7050 throughout a night shift. A vacuum combination gripper on the robot arm enables fast and safe loading and unloading. Using the proven TRUMPF TecZone Bend software, a bending program can be created in just a few seconds. The operator is then able to program the robot by means of an app and the teach panel. This makes the TruBend 7050 quick and easy to set up. Thanks to automatic double-sheet detection, the Flex Cell is also able to recognize if unprocessed material has stuck together during loading and then eject it. This reduces rejects and saves resources.
Designed for Small and Simple Parts
The Flex Cell is suitable for components up to 23.6”-x-15.75” in size. It can process sheet metal of between 0.03” and 0.23” in thickness.
