Caron Engineering, Inc. is proud to announce that its Founder and President, Rob Caron, has been awarded The M. Eugene Merchant Manufacturing Medal. Established in 1986 by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), this prestigious award honors exceptional individuals who have significantly improved the productivity and efficiency of manufacturing operations.

Rob Caron, PE, has been a pivotal force in developing groundbreaking technology aimed at optimizing and automating processes within the manufacturing industry. His unique ability to listen to the challenges faced by his customers and colleagues, and then design tailored solutions, have distinguished him as a leader in the field. Rob was recognized for his sustained innovations in machine tool technology, including advancements in tool monitoring and adaptive control techniques, automatic tool offset control, and the implementation of RFID technology in machine tools.
