Woodward Inc., a western Pennsylvania-based custom metal fabricator, has announced an expansion of its manufacturing facility located in Mars, Pa. The project involves the addition of 3,600 square feet to the existing 45,000-sq.-ft. facility, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to the metal fabrication industry.
This expansion will house a new plasma-cutting system equipped with a bevel head attachment, a new feature that enhances Woodward’s cutting and shaping capabilities. This upgrade augments a comprehensive fabrication lineup, which already includes advanced welding, industrial fabrications, and mechanical assembly processes for bulk material handling, utility, water treatment, steel, and other process industries.
Kevin Leczkowski, General Manager of Woodward Inc., said, “This expansion is not just about increasing our space; it’s about enhancing our capabilities and efficiency. The addition of a larger, more advanced plasma-cutting system will allow us to meet our clients’ needs more effectively and continue to deliver the high-quality, custom-fabricated metal components they rely on. This upgrade will ensure that Woodward remains at the forefront of the industry, well-equipped to handle projects of any scale and complexity.”
Located 20 miles north of Pittsburgh, Woodward serves clients within a 100-mile radius, providing everything from design to assembly of complex welded assemblies. The company’s expertise in handling both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, combined with its partnerships with local shops for additional processing like machining and coating, makes it a comprehensive solution provider in the metal fabrication space.
