BLM GROUP Introduces New LT12 to Round Out its Lasertube Offering
The LT12 can cut light and heavy tubes and profiles up to 305 mm in diameter, while providing flexibility, high performance and speed — 55% less cutting time than other machines capable of the same maximum diameter.

BLM GROUP USA, a global leader in the manufacture of tube and flat sheet processing solutions, is pleased to announce the latest addition to its lasertube offering: the LT12. The LT12 lasertube system bridges the gap between the company’s larger LT14, which is designed for processing long, heavy profiles and the smaller LT8.20 for small batches of medium to large sections and open profiles. The LT12 can cut light and heavy tubes and profiles up to 305 mm in diameter, while providing flexibility, high performance and speed — 55% less cutting time than other machines capable of the same maximum diameter.
The LT12, which does not require a special foundation, features a 3D cutting head with a slim design for processing special sections and beams. BLM GROUP offers laser sources in 3, 4 or 5 kw and has integrated built-in sensors to monitor optics parameters during operation, As with all BLM GROUP tube lasers, the LT12 comes equipped with an Active Tools library that maximizes efficiency and ease of use for the operator.
The LT12 is capable of processing tubes up to 62 kg/m and is modular for both loading and unloading lengths. Configurable in two lengths (27’ 10” and 41’ | 8.5 m and 12.5 m), the chain loader allows bars of different cross-sections and lengths to be arranged on the loading chains.
The LT12 unloader features a conveyor belt for shorter parts and unloading chains to stage longer parts. Operators can quickly configure the short part conveyor to unload parts into a crate to function as a buffer. The scrap conveyor evacuates scrap into a bin located on the rear side of the machine.
BLM GROUP included its exclusive, patented Active Scan technology in the LT12 lasertube. Active Scan auto-corrects the positioning of geometries on the tubes to be cut, adjusting for tube deformations to ensure real-time accuracy and reduce waste. A scrap efficiency mode further minimizes waste; the spindle fits into the chuck to cut the bar to reduce scrape to just 113 mm.
