We are honored to announce that the U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Cincinnati Incorporated as one of the 859 recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony. We earned the Large Platinum award after applying earlier this year and meeting the qualifications. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is earned by businesses that demonstrate unparalleled commitment to recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans.
Recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Awards meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, ranging from veteran hiring and retention to providing veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, dedicated human resources, pay compensation and tuition assistance programs.
The award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development.
This in-depth survey and recognition program analyzes employers’ policies, practices, and outcomes in detail, across the following 5 categories:
- Veteran job candidate recruiting and hiring
- Veteran employee development and retention
- Veteran-inclusive policies and culture
- Support for members of the National Guard and Reserves
