    As the old saying goes, if something is worth doing, it is worth doing it right. One sure fire method to solving a powder coating problem is to “Follow the Air.” During this presentation, attendees will learn what “Follow the Air” means and how it can be used to troubleshoot a powder coating problem. The information presented will focus on powder coating with a manual gun, however, much of the material can also be used to troubleshoot an automatic powder coating gun.

  • Tips for Manual and Automatic Gun Settings
    This presentation will review the following topics: factors that affect first pass transfer efficiency; back ionization, how it’s achieved and how to prevent it; various voltage and air settings and how they affect the faraday cage; as well as understanding the corona field. There will also be a review of how to improve powder flow efficiency along with the differences between a manual and automatic gun application.
