Electric, multidirectional, easy to maneuver and operator friendly forklifts ensure operational success. Lifting magnets with unique handle designs only require a 90° rotation to either engage or disengage the magnet, versus the 120° or even 180° required on most on/off lifting magnets. Find out how to elevate your existing workforce with this superior equipment.
New Forklift is Latest Addition to Company’s Range of Electric Powered Trucks
Combilift’s (Greensboro, NC and Annahagh, Monaghan, Ireland) Combi-CB70E boasts the distinction of being the shortest 7t capacity counterbalance truck on the market while also benefitting from multidirectional ability, enabling the versatile space saving handling of both long and bulky loads.
Design features incorporated into the high-capacity Combi-CB70E include large super-elastic tires and compact wheelbase. With a 7,000 kg/15,500 lb. lift capacity, this model benefits from a small footprint as well as exceptional maneuverability, meaning that it can easily move bulky loads around in confined spaces.
Occupational health and safety requirements mean that the welfare of the workforce has become ever more important over the years. Drivers of industrial vehicles, who are often required to spend extensive periods in their workstations, expect the highest levels of comfort and safety. Combilift’s designers have ensured that the latest generation of models are kitted out with top quality components that ensure sophisticated ergonomics for a stress-free in-cab environment. Features in the spacious cab include generous glazing for excellent all-round visibility, the tilting steering column, hydraulic steering and the Grammer MSG65 seat.
What sets the Combi-CB70E apart from other forklifts is its gas strut suspension cab, which uses components such as those found in large scale industrial machinery with cab suspension. Combined with the super-elastic tires this guarantees the smoothest of rides over uneven or less than perfect ground conditions.
Combilift also offers the newly developed Auto Swivel Seat. This optional feature automatically engages and swivels the seat and armrest 15° to the right or left to accord with the direction of travel selected by the operator — reducing driver strain, particularly when travelling in reverse.
The truck also features Combilift’s internationally patented and Red Dot awarded independent electric traction which provides all front and rear drive wheels with 100% traction control. This negates the need for differential lock on slippery surfaces and significantly reduces long load momentum twisting when travelling sideways. Each electric drive incorporates parking and regenerative dynamic braking for power efficiency. Roll-out access for major electrical components also simplifies maintenance tasks.

Series of Lifting Magnets Only Require 90° Rotation to Engage or Disengage a Magnet
Industrial Magnetics, Inc. (IMI) (Boyne City, MI) is the exclusive North American import partner of FX lift magnets, which are manufactured by Flaig Magnetsysteme in Germany. Each line of lifting magnets in the FX family of products has been specifically designed for maximum durability and performance. These custom solution off-the-shelf designs allow for lifting of round, circular, flat, hot, thin, and structural shaped steel such as angles and channels. The size, shape, weight, and temperature of your unique parts will determine the best FX family lift magnet for your specific applications.
On all magnets in the series, the unique handle design only requires a 90° rotation to either engage or disengage the magnet (versus the 120° or even 180° required on most on/off lifting magnets), making it easy for operators to use in applications where the magnet is lifting something from inside a bin or a deep trough. The handle also features a positive lock-on/lock-off mechanism that requires the operator to manually switch between the two states. This prevents the handle from being turned only partially on, or from being accidentally bumped to the “off” position and dropping the load prematurely.
Portable Tilter Positions Containers for Easy Access to Contents
PT Series Container Tilters from Presto ECOA (Norton, MA) tilt containers up to 85˚ to allow workers to access contents without bending into the container. As containers tilt up, items, even those at the bottom, end up at a comfortable position for easy retrieval.
These portable, battery powered container tilters go anywhere they are needed, making them ideal for applications that require sharing between multiple users or workcells, or where workers need to pick up and return containers to and from staging areas. They work with a variety of containers including wire baskets, plastic totes and gaylords.
Power is provided by a 12V maintenance-free, leak-proof battery with internal charger. Optional 115V AC or air motors are available. Tilt is controlled by a pushbutton pendant that allows operators to tilt the load to any angle between 0˚ and 85˚. The unit’s push handle lowers when not in use, further improving access to container contents. A foot operated floor lock keeps the tilter securely in position as items are being accessed.
Non-Straddle (PT Series) units work with most standard containers or choose a Straddle (PTS Series) unit for use with containers that have reinforcing leg bars. Both configurations are equipped with 40-inch-long forks. Capacities are available in 2,000 or 4,000 pounds.
Leading Autonomous Mobile Robot Provider Offers AMR Interoperability
Seegrid Corp. (Pittsburgh, PA), the leader in autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for material handling, has expanded the capabilities of the Palion AMRs. To fulfill more applications for more customers and foster AMR interoperability, Seegrid’s Palion Lift and Palion Tow Tractor now work in combination to load and unload carts with no human intervention.
Seegrid’s newest AMR, the Palion Lift, brings together Seegrid’s 3D vision-based navigation technology with best-in-class situational awareness capabilities to automate pallet movement. Palion Lift autonomously transports material up to 3,500 pounds throughout customer operations, precisely and securely retrieving and placing palletized goods at heights of up to 6’ for a complete, end-to-end solution for pallet movement.
