Dillon Manufacturing effectively doubles the gripping force of its jaws with the addition of Carbinite, a wear-resistant textured carbide coating which is added to hard or soft jaws after they are milled to customer requirements. This unique product will be featured in Dillon’s EASTEC booth #5445. Utilizing a process called Electro Spark Deposition (ESD), Carbinite reduces or eliminates slippage, thus improving the grip on workpieces to improve mill performance and reduce cycle times. This wear resistant carbide alloys display exceptional bond strength without annealing or distortion.
In clamping tests, Carbinite has been shown to nearly double the gripping strength at equal clamping force. Customers report increased grip and longer tool life. Carbinite is ideal for hard or soft jaws, especially Vise Jaws and Step Jaws used for clamping applications, as well as collet pads and jaws.
Like all Dillon products, Carbinite is made in the USA in ISO 9001:2015 registered facilities.
