Everything from the wiring of components to the welding of the stand the machine is built on, is done here in the United States. The machine is built, tested, and crated for shipping here in our 70,000-square-foot facility in Minnesota.

The laser source, one of the most crucial parts of our machine, is made and tested in Minnesota by our sister company Kern Technologies. What’s more, the software that runs our systems, KCAM, was created by our R&D team located in Minnesota.

When you require  tech support, your call is handled by  our team of Technical Support Specialists (the same people who run diagnostics and test your machine before it ships out!), and not someone located at a distant call center.

Here is one customer’s experience:

“[The machine] is built like a tank. The capability of the laser is endless with an open mind. The ability to stop a job and cut a part for someone and then go right back to the job has been great.

(Regarding our Customer Service) When you call most places for help on their machines, they ask you for the model number and serial number. I call Kern, tell them my name and the company and like magic they know what machine we have and want to know how to help you.

The staff there is willing to help you if you’re trying to cut a material and you tried 10 different ways from Sunday and still have trouble. I called for help [with a specific material] they asked me to send them samples of the material I was cutting. I did. They replied with settings from power to air pressure.

They call back when they say they would, and I have had email conversations back in forth in matters of minutes [from my initial email].

So, after everything being said, the laser has changed the way we make some products, the waste has been dramatically reduced, and we’ve increased our ability to cut smaller pieces.” — Tom Bergeron, Clear Solutions Inc.
