TRUMPF Names Christine Benz to Serve as Head of TruServices and Smart Services
TRUMPF Inc. (Farmington, CT) has named Christine Benz to serve as head of TruServices and smart services. In this role, Benz will report to Burke Doar, senior vice president of sales and marketing for TRUMPF.

Benz joined TRUMPF in 2003 in the laser development department. Following her time as a laser development engineer, she held two roles from 2007-2013 in the customer services department. One of those roles was manager of project engineering. Most recently, Benz acted as training and development manager. In that role, she was responsible for technical training and employee development. Also, she oversaw TRUMPF’s regional training center and led a team that provided customers and employees throughout North America with technical training, leadership programs, employee learning and development curricula, and workforce development strategies.
In addition to Benz’s work experience, she holds a bachelor’s degree in precision and micro-engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany, holds a master’s degree in technology management from Central Connecticut State University, and holds a doctorate in organizational leadership from Northcentral University, AZ. Moreover, Benz is an acting member of the industrial advisory boards for both Central Connecticut State University and Tunxis Community College. She’s also a board member for Connecticut Technical Education and Career System.
TRUMPF provides industrial lasers and provides machine tools that are used in flexible sheet-metal processing.
