Live, Working Demos of Cold Saws, Ironworkers, Pipe Notchers and Hydraulic Presses
At Fabtech, Scotchman Industries Inc. will demonstrate ironworkers, cold saws, pipe notchers, and other equipment used in metal fabrication.
Posted: June 3, 2021
In Booths A-3526 and A-3625, Scotchman Industries Inc. (Philip, SD) will perform live product demonstrations continuously throughout all four days of Fabtech, featuring the benefits of the latest equipment for general to heavy-duty metal fabrication. One piece of equipment to be shown is the CPO 350 AutoLoader circular cold saw with the new Clear Awareness Barrier with safety interlock switch. These new features provide extra safety for sawing while allowing the operator to visually monitor the saw in action. This variable speed saw is semi-auto; but coupled with an auto loading material feed system, it creates a fully automatic sawing system, which can cut multiple lengths of tube (maximum of 3 inches in diameter). The saw can run unlimited cut lists from ½-inch to 23-foot lengths.
Another featured product will be the 5014-ET ironworker and a 50-ton hydraulic ironworker with a 3-station turret. The innovative, revolving turret accepts up to three different punch sizes that can be changed in seconds, reducing setup time and increasing productivity. This hydraulic ironworker features 50 tons of pressure and can punch a 13/16-inch hole in a ¾-inch plate and comes standard with a 4-inch angle shear, 14-inch flat bar shear and rectangle notcher.
Additional equipment models to be shown include:
- Ironworker models: DO95, FI85, 5014-ET, 50514-EC with Digital Quick Stop Measuring System
- Cold saw models: CPO 350 with Digital Quick Stop Measuring System, GAA-500 CNC DT20, SUP 600 AngleMaster, CPO 315 HFA
- Pipe notcher models: AL1-2E and AL150 HS
- Hydraulic press: PressPro 110, and
- Measuring systems: AccuTable Digital Caliper Table for Long Lengths
