The Compact EVO from Boschert GmbH & Co. KG (Lörrach-Hauingen, Germany) is a redesigned entry-level Compact punching machine. Available in five sizes with a working range between 500 x 1,000 mm and 1,500 x 3,000 mm, the machine has a lifting height of 90 mm and, if required, automatic clamp adjustment. Pressing forces of 280kN or 400 kN (depending on punching head) process 200-kilogram metal sheets 6.4 mm thick and, thanks to non-contact repositioning, 10 meters long.
Several design changes ensure quieter operation. Oil lines are integrated into the frame to improve the machine’s accessibility and appearance and dampen noise. The hydraulic unit can be enclosed to further lower noise levels. To expand processing options, the roller and embossing unit is on board as standard. An edge protector prevents long-term damage to the brush table.
The cable duct is positioned between the control cabinet and machine to improve aesthetics. The operator controls the machine ergonomically via the mobile control panel with its working surfaces and storage areas. A container with rollers facilitates waste disposal.
The machine is equipped with a Trumpf tooling system. Two servo motors rotate all tools up to a diameter of 105 mm continuously through 360 degrees. Indexing is done pneumatically via a locking pin with the help of the rotation. Boschert developed the Revotool with seven tools especially for this version. In addition to six tools that can be used for an envelope circle of 16 mm, almost all contours can be cut using the 5-by-30-mm cutting punch – so in most cases, complete machining is possible without any tool changing.
The table is freely accessible and comes with practical aids. Maximum positioning speed is 60 meters/minute on both the X and Y axes. With repeatability of ± 0.03 mm, up to 800 strokes/minute are possible.
Options include units for Alucobond milling and stud welding as well as drilling and tapping units for M3 to M12 threads. Manufacturers can easily integrate the machine into their networks via the integrated interface. This gives them the option of remote maintenance, and they can also program complex CAD parts with the BG Cut software.
