ClearPak 5000 poly from Daubert Cromwell (Alsip, IL) is a globally accepted vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) for protecting aluminum, steel and other metals during storage and transit. The packaging film earned the highest grade possible for TL8135-0034 and NACE TM0208, meets TRGS 615 and TRGS 900, and is RoHS-compliant.
Field performance tests show the film prevents rust and discoloration on properly packaged steel, copper, and aluminum alloys. The flexible, strong, transparent poly – tinted the company’s signature blue – is often used as a bin liner for automotive parts and other fabricated metals.
In addition to its technical efficacy, CP5000 meets criteria as an environmentally friendly film that’s safe for use in the workplace. The bio-based, nitrite-free product is non-toxic, easy to handle, and fully recyclable.
