The pneumatically actuated Tandem PGS3-LH 100 clamping force block from Schunk (Morrisville, NC) comes with a console plate for mounting via its integrated flange on machine tables, dividing heads or Schunk’s Vero-S NSL3 150 machining center clamping stations. It can be immediately incorporated into any machine tool via its lateral air connections and built-in keyways.
A compact and square design ensures optimum accessibility and enables a stroke of 6 mm per jaw. With a clamping force of 4,500 N and a repeat accuracy of 0.02 mm, the low-maintenance vise is ideal for basic aluminum and plastics machining applications. Features include a chip-repelling design, surface-treated components in the power flux, and long base jaw guidances that keep chuck jaws from lifting.
The vise can be equipped with all standard top jaws with tongue and groove (KTR, KTR-H) from the company’s chuck jaw program.
