Manufacturing Process Enhances Cutting Wheel Durability

Weldcote’s A-Prime Plus line of cutting wheels lasts longer because they’re  manufactured via a multistep granulation process that evenly distributes each individually coated aluminum oxide grain.

Weldcote’s A-Prime Plus cutting wheels consistently produce a high-quality finish because they’re manufactured via a multistep process that evenly distributes each individually coated aluminum oxide grain. They also don’t stall out as standard wheels often do.

Designed for applications using high-power, right-angle grinding machines, A-Prime Plus slitter-style cutting wheels from Weldcote (Kings Mountain, NC) are made using a multistep process that coats each grain of aluminum oxide abrasive with resins, fillers, and a patented chemical additive before evenly distributing the grains on the wheel. The granulation process enhances performance and delays the wheel’s natural aging process.

Type 1 and Type 27 wheels are available in 4 1/2-, 5- and 6-inch diameters with 46 grit. Excellent value-to-price performance includes low burring and reduced sparks. They’re also suitable for low-power grinding machines.
