Easy-to-Use Tool Presetter With Large Measurement Range
Capable of measuring 400 millimeters of travel on both axes, Hoffmann Group’s Garant VG Basic features an intuitive program that makes the cutting-tool presetter easy to set up and operate. Use it at the machine or a production island.

Equipped with a cleaner, SK 50 needle bearing spindle, coiled compressed air hose, ¼-inch coupling connector, and intuitive menu that guides the user through the software program, the Garant VG Basic presetter from the Hoffmann Group (Knoxville, TN) provides everything even inexperienced users need to quickly and accurately measure cutting tools.
With a compressed air supply of at least 73 psi, the X and Z axes can be moved by up to 400 millimeters using a pneumatic quick-adjustment device. When an additional fine adjustment is made, the two axes can be positioned accurately enough that the exact tool dimensions can be determined using the measuring system and complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) color camera with 17x magnification.
Height-adjustable feet support a sturdy base body made of high-strength aluminum and a high-quality sheet metal housing.
In addition to a printer that enables users to print measuring results onto an adhesive label to stick on the tool, optional accessories include a subframe cupboard, calibration mandrel, spindle clamp, and a variety of reducers.
