Dapra CEO Retiring March 1

Linda Pilvelis has served at Dapra Corp. for over 45 years, the last 17 as its CEO. Shawn Lawlor from Bartell Machinery Systems has been appointed as her successor.

Chairman and Owner of Dapra Corp. (Bloomfield, CT) Marie-Louise Pratt has announced the retirement of CEO Linda Pilvelis, effective March 1, 2021, and the appointment of the new CEO, Shawn Lawlor.

Called a valued and successful leader, Pilvelis has been with Dapra for over 45 years, and served as CEO for the past 17 years.

Lawlor will assume the position of CEO on Feb. 1, 2021. He comes to Dapra from Bartell Machinery Systems where he was vice president, Sales and Marketing. Prior to that position, he was vice president and director, Marketing and New Business Development. Prior to joining Bartell he was the manager, Business Development, at United Technologies Aerospace Systems. Lawlor has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from Marist College.

Pratt said the company will miss Pilvelis, whose “extraordinary work ethic and dedication to all aspects of the corporation have made Dapra, in large part, the success it is today. We are all grateful for her friendship and loyalty to the corporation and wish her a fulfilling retirement, after valued years of dedication to Dapra. We at Dapra send with her all good wishes for a happy future and gratitude for a job well done.”
