Vortex Fab Rebrands As Spectrum Metalcraft
As the new sales manager, Vortex sales veteran Dan Jones will lead the sales efforts of the newly branded Spectrum Metal Craft, a full production metal fabrication shop in Kansas.

Vortex announces the rebranding of its metal fabrication and manufacturing company from Vortex Fab to Spectrum Metalcraft, a Vortex company. Spectrum’s 125,000 square foot facility is located at 304 East Avenue B in Salina, Kansas.
Formerly Kasa Fab, Spectrum Metalcraft was acquired by Vortex in September of 2018. The facility is a full production metal fabrication shop, and offers a variety of fabrication capabilities including, lasers, robotic welders, blasting booths, and liquid and powder paint systems, among others. Spectrum Metalcraft provides cutting, electropolishing, welding, braking, finishing and assembly services.
Customer orders can be engineered to take advantage of the advanced manufacturing equipment used by Spectrum to decrease cost and increase quality and give customers the quality product they expect with ease of repeatability and on-time delivery.
In addition to rebranding, Spectrum Metalcraft is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Jones as sales manager. For the past 20 years, Jones has worked on the sales staff of Vortex Global’s Dry Bulk Handling business. In his new role, Jones will lead sales efforts for Spectrum. A Pittsburg, Kansas native, Jones spent seven years at Great Plains Manufacturing prior to joining Vortex. During his time with the company, he has represented Vortex in each of the lower 48 states developing relationships with representative groups and clients in numerous industries.
