Using a robot place to place a workpiece inside a CNC machine increases productivity, protects workers from injury, and enables unmanned lights-out production. To meet the increasing demand for smaller robotic loaders, Halter CNC Automation (Cascade, IA) is expanding its product line with three 26.45-pound-payload models. The Compact series is the smallest in the company’s product line, which already includes models with 44-, 75-, and 154-pound payloads.

The three Halter Compact models are:

  • TurnStacker Compact for lathes, which accommodates diameters up to 6.29 inches (160 mm)
  • MillStacker Compact for milling machines, which accommodates diameters  up to 7.87 inches (200 mm)
  • Universal Compact, a general-purpose robotic arm with long-shaft option that accommodates workpieces up to 9.84 inches (250 mm).

All three can be moved with a pallet truck. The company is offering a free three-month trial.
