Vernet-Behringer Fully Integrated into Behringer Group

Vernet-Behringer’s integration into the Behringer Group is part of a long-term relationship between the two companies. The transition allows VB to expand internationally by meeting the growing demand for integrated and automated lines.

Vernet-Behringer's HD-Xevo2 drilling/milling machine is up to 60% faster than conventional drilling machines thanks to additional axes in the carriage direction for all three spindles. The machine processes H and U profiles, flats, angle and right hollow sections up to 1800×600 mm.

Germany-based Behringer GmbH has taken over 100% of French machine tool builder Vernet-Behringer (VB). Behringer has been VB’s key shareholder and strategic partner since 1996, in particular for the supply of band saws integrated into the automatic drilling-sawing lines developed by VB. For over a century, Behringer GmbH has been synonymous with steady growth, new innovations and continuity. Together with the existing management, these goals will continue to be pursued and developed.

This transition will allow VB to continue its development in France and internationally, as well as to conduct larger technological projects to meet the growing expectations of its customers around the world for ever-more-integrated and automated lines. The merger will also make it possible to develop technological, industrial, and financial synergies to meet the requirements imposed by exacerbated global competition in the current context and accelerating the transformation toward Industry 4.0.

“Behringer is the ideal partner for our future in terms of both corporate culture and our complementary activities,” says VB President and CEO Pascal Denis. “I am delighted with this merger, which marks a new stage in our more-than-century-old double history. The strength of the group will undoubtedly further enable us to promote our know-how and our cutting-edge technologies in terms of industrial processes, software and automation.”

Behringer Managing Director Christian Behringer says, “We have been supporting VB for many years, and believe more than ever in the technological progress developed by the company. This integration is therefore a natural evolution of the group, which will benefit from the sharing of skills and the complement of product ranges in an integrated long-term approach.”

VB is an industrial company based in Dijon that designs and manufactures machining lines for profiles as well as machines for processing angles and sheets for structural steel fabricators, stock dealers, and lattice towers specialists. Through its P4S partnership, VB also offers shot blasting and painting solutions that are fully integrated into its automated lines. With more than 20 M € of annual turnover, the company addresses a global market.

Behringer is a 100-year-old family-owned industrial company. In addition to a state-of-the-art foundry, the company is a world leader in the design and manufacture of industrial saws for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The group achieves a turnover of 70 M € and employs more than 450 people at its headquarter in Kirchardt and its subsidiaries in Germany, France, UK, USA, and China.
