The L.S. Starrett Co. (Athol, MA) is relaunching its line of more than 100 micrometers with new electronics, full functionality and output, and ergonomic designs.

The 733.1 0-1” outside micrometer, for example, features IP67-level protection against coolants, water, chips, dust and dirt; an easy-to-read high-contrast LCD digital readout; and shuts itself off after 20 minutes of nonuse. Smooth friction thimble for uniform pressure and balanced frame design ensure  comfortable measuring. No-glare satin chrome finish minimizes annoying surface glare under bright lights indoors. Resolution: .00005-inch (0.001mm). Accuracy: +/-.0001-inch (=+/-.002mm).

In addition to the newly designed electronic micrometers, Starrett offers a full line of electronic gages including calipers, height gages, depth gages, indicators, and bore gages. Electronic gages are full-featured, easy to use, and competitively priced. All electronic tools with output are compatible with Starrett’s DataSure wireless data collection system and are Industry 4.0-ready.
