As robotic work cells are increasingly being used in automated production, the need for ready-to-mark air impact stations has grown. The Mite-E-Mark from Columbia Marking Tools (CMT) (Chesterfield Township, MI) meets this need with a plug-and-play design featuring dry or lubricated air, all required valves, marker mounts, and a part rest.

A less-expensive option than dot peen and laser marking systems, the air impact stations are extremely rugged; provide rapid cycle times; and, with 18 times the force of an air cylinder of the same width, produce deep and highly legible marks.

Part rest height and location are custom-designed per application. Fieldbus for programmable logic controller (PLC) communications is optional.
