Turn your high-speed mill into a lights-out machine with NSK America’s electric spindle system. Available in most BT, CT, and HSK tapers.

The electric i-Speed5 high-speed spindle system from NSK America Corp. (Hoffman Estates, IL) allows for lights-out machining by eliminating the need for electric motor cables or air tubing to the spindle. Multiple spindles can be used with full tool changeability and independent RPM settings.

Available in most BT, CT, and HSK tapers, the 0.5-hp 60,000- or 80,000-RPM variable-speed system has full integration and communication capabilities to the CNC control. A handy remote unit allows the controller to be mounted inside the machine’s electrical cabinet via integral ventilation exhaust tube.

The i-Speed5 maintains NSK America’s guarantee of less than 1 micron T.I.R. A constant clean-stop block connects the i-Speed5 system to the controller.
