Designed for direct-mounted systems, the SmogHog SHM Machine Mount (MM) media mist collector from the Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division of Parker Hannifin Corp.(Lancaster, NY) removes virtually all contaminants generated by processes such as CNC machining, cold forming, sawing, lathes, and stamping while saving costs by reducing the installation complexity of duct runs.

A patented, proprietary media technology called PEACH saturated depth coalescing uses a three-stage filtration process that progressively reduces mist concentration. The result is greater than 99% particle removal efficiency and long filter life.

The collector is engineered to order per shop requirements. Combined with the flexibility to mount the unit on the top or side of the machine along with inlet locations on three sides, the unit saves time and money during installation while providing optimal performance.

The collector is available in two base models rated at 500 CFM and 800 CFM to handle various machine sizes and applications. Both include ASHRAE 95% oil mist or HEPA safety after-filter options, various wall mount alternatives, remote on/off disconnect switch, and many additional options and accessories including custom paint colors.

The 800-CFM SHM-08 is available in an advanced version that includes a remote touchscreen controller and electronically commutated (EC) blower for automated airflow control to help consume less energy than conventional blowers, therefore reducing operational costs.
