The Top Speed Ring (TSR) from Monaghan Tooling Group (Dayton, OH) requires no setting, so it’s ready to use right out of the box. The easy-to-assemble reamer allows up to 70% higher feed rates than traditional cutting rings.

Diameters range from 1.9921 in to 8.8583 in (50,600 mm to 225,000 mm). Four extra teeth compared to expandable rings allow for faster cutting with better surface finishes and roundness. Solid, straight, or left-hand fluted designs ensure stoutness throughout a long service life. Different cutting materials and coatings are available to ream a variety of materials; special geometries available upon request.

Holders come with internal coolant. They’re made with cylindrical shanks or module connections for run-out compensation.

The TSR can be repaired/re-tipped and achieve the same tool life as new reamers, making them efficient and cost-effective. They’re ideal for high-speed reaming applications; long production runs; large-hole reaming; and whenever precise, repeatable reaming is required.
