Mitsubishi Corp. subsidiary MC Machinery Systems Inc. (Elk Grove Village, IL) is selling and servicing hydraulic press brakes from Portuguese manufacturer Adira throughout North America.
Launched in 1956, Adira works with universities to develop and transfer engineering innovations and knowledge. The company’s press brake line gives customers the option to buy a standard solution or customize with additional accessories and options. Capacities range from 100 tons to more than 2,000 tons to meet the needs of a wide range of industries.
Ranging in capacity from 1,350 kN to 2,200 kN and offering working lengths from 3,000 mm to 4,000 mm, the six machines that comprise the entry-level PA Basic series are ideal for job shops.
Instead of a standard C frame/O frame, the machines’ Hexa-C frame ensures perfect guiding on the upper beam even when under load. Semi-hybrid Greendrive System that turns off motor when the machine is idle for a set time lowers operational costs by minimizing energy consumption. Other standard features include Wila USA crowning, oil cooler, sheet supports, Lazersafe, high-precision back gauge, and 15-inch touchscreen CNC.
The PA Plus allows customers to customize a solution by combining accessories and options. This makes the machine a good solution for industries where high production, high automation, or low setup times are key factors for success.
Ranging in capacity from 1,600 kN to 20,000 kN and offering working lengths from 6,100 mm to 9,100 mm, the 26 models comprising the heavy-duty PH Series handle thick and long plates. Machines can be customized with longer stroke, more open height, and bigger throat depth to enable bending of even larger parts.
“The partnership is exciting because it fills a gap in our press brake offering,” says MC Machinery National Press Brake Product Manager David Bray. “These machines range from simple and inexpensive to well-equipped, high-tonnage customized solutions for customers who expect a higher level of quality and service.”
