Rohde & Schwarz (Columbia, MD) offers a turnkey solution for measuring radiated spurious emissions (RSE) from 5G components in both FR1 and FR2 frequency ranges – the TS8996 RSE automated test system also performs the required EMI tests.

The user-friendly R&S Elektra EMC test software has been upgraded with measurement and calibration routines for 5G development and compliance tests.

The TS8996 RSE system includes an R&S CMX500 5G radio communication tester for signal generation and the R&S ESW44 high-end EMI test receiver that features outstanding RF characteristics and high measurement speed in frequency ranges up to 44 GHz.

The system has a high sensitivity of -40 dBm/MHzat frequencies up to 200 GHz. It meets FCC (USA) and ERC Recommendation (Europe) threshold values. Early pass/fail criteria can be used, as well as measurements with large bandwidth, to shorten test times.

An upgrade for 5G is available for users who already have a Rohde & Schwarz  RSE test system.
