Threading Insert Grade for Critical Parts and Materials
Nano-laminate coating and tool geometry keep chips from causing damage in the final phases of production.

Made from alternating layers of titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) and titanium silicon nitride (TiSiN), the nano-laminate physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating on the TTP2050 threading insert grade from Seco Tools (Troy, MI) outperforms the general-purpose coatings often used on threading tools. In addition to increasing the tool life on inserts, the advanced coating produces high running parameters for increased threading productivity, giving it the wear resistance necessary to machine cast irons, tool steels, and stainless steels. The grade also offers the tool geometry to increase productivity in these challenging steels.
Available in 44 profiles with geometry -A in 0.433-in and 0.650-in (11 mm and 16 mm) sizes.
