Manchester Tool & Die, Inc. (North Manchester, IN ) is celebrating their 60th year in operation this year. Founder Glen Blocher was a pioneer in the tube end forming industry. He founded MTD in 1960 as a job shop but by the middle 1960s had built the company’s first tube end forming machine. By the end of the decade he had developed superior technology that would soon establish MTD as a leading company in the field.

The company has grown over the years and now occupies a 65,000 square foot facility with over 50,000 square feet devoted to manufacturing. A third generation of Blocher’s is now part of the management team.

Manchester Tool & Die supplies tube end forming equipment and tooling to a variety of industries, with standard machines ranging from 3/16” to 3” O.D. capacities.  Machines and parts can be manufactured for special applications.  Manchester Tool & Die also provides steel fabricating and production machining services.
