Bystronic (Elgin, IL) has expanded its portfolio to offer the largest selection of automated 2D and 3D cutting systems for laser processing tubes and profiles.
With diameters ranging from 0.5 to 32 inches and pipe and profile lengths up to 59 feet, Bystronic’s tube laser cutting system solutions offer the widest range of applications for the flexible production of small and large series tubes and profiles from steel, stainless steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals.
Laser Technology Options
Depending on the materials that are processed, users can choose between CO2 laser cutting systems and high-speed Fiber laser cutting systems. CO2 lasers achieve outstanding cutting quality in medium to thick steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Fiber lasers achieve high cutting speeds in thin material thicknesses. The special properties of this technology enable applications in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals such as copper and brass. Combined with low operating costs and low maintenance requirements, Fiber lasers deliver more profit per part.
Flexible loading from bundle loading or from chain loading system for open profiles ensures high precision processing. Intelligent unloading increases system productivity and reduces downtime.
Customized and Precise Cutting
The availability of 2D and 3D laser cutting technology opens up the possibility of individually customized and precise cutting of a wide variety: tubes with round, square and rectangular shapes as well as profiles with diverse cross-sections (for example H, L, T and U cross-sections). In addition to straight cutting edge, the 3D technology also enables bevel cuts of up to 45 degrees. This versatility eliminates the need for costly milling, drilling, punching or sawing processes.
