How to Improve 3D Rendering, Simulation and Post Processing on Nakamura-Tome Turning Centers

The intuitive TurnMill V9 suite from CAMplete seamlessly combines output from all other CAM systems and creates complex multi-tasking programs that are simulated, verified and ready to run on their machine.

Dedicated exclusively to Nakamura-Tome turning centers, TurnMill V9 from CAMplete Solutions Inc. (Cambridge, ON) includes enhancements to 3D rendering, simulation improvements, and additional post processing support and is sold and supported in the U.S. through Methods Machine Tools, Inc. (Sudbury, MA) and MULTIAXIS LLC (Wellington, FL), in Canada through Elliott-Matsuura Canada Inc. (Oakville, ON), and in the United Kingdom and Ireland through the Engineering Technology Group (Wellesbourne, UK). TurnMill V9 is a seamless environment that allows users to combine output from all of their CAM systems and create multi-tasking programs that are verified and ready to run on their machine. This sophisticated, easy-to-use software suite offers everything needed to simulate and verify complex programs in an intuitive 3D environment. New 3D view enhancements include:

  • Realistic rendering of metal shading, reflection modeling, advanced lighting modeling and edge drawing to help highlight important geometric features. Also, an enhanced highlighting mode more clearly shows selected objects in 3D.
  • 3D Space Mouse support that works directly with the driver control panel UI.
  • Hardware Driver Support for a wider variety of video cards, allowing users to run TruePath effectively on an existing laptop.

Simulation improvements in TurnMill V9 include Collision Mode Pausing and Interpolation View that allows the user to precisely examine all points of motion, even between programmed points, and 3D collision visualization to easily see the interference of the 3D geometry Interactive machine jogging directly in the 3D View. New post processing support includes a revamped post processing engine for even more flexibility for Mastercam and Gibbscam, intelligent decision-making that limits wasted motion and provides optimal efficiency, and the production of full multi-tasking programs from a single-tasking CAM projects.
