Copper-Plated Magnetic Welding Squares Resist Spatter

The sides and edges of durable, long-lasting copper-plated magnetic welding squares from Industrial Magnetics, Inc. stay clean, true, and free from spatter buildup to protect the accuracy of their alignment.

Posted: October 24, 2019

These copper-plated magnetic welding squares resist corrosion and prevent weld spatter from sticking to their surface. Due to the highly conductive properties of copper, the heat from small particles of weld spatter that hits the face of the welding square is quickly conducted away, thereby preventing bonding of the materials. This keeps the sides and edges of the square clean, true, and free from spatter buildup, protecting the accuracy of its alignment. As copper is also naturally corrosion-resistant, the plated squares ensure a durable and long-lasting product lifespan.

A new line of copper-plated magnetic welding squares from Industrial Magnetics, Inc. (Boyne City, MI) resist corrosion and prevent weld spatter from sticking to their surface.

These copper-plated magnetic squares are available in four models for the secure and accurate holding of sheet stock or tubing in a variety of angles, including 30 deg, 45 deg, 60 deg or 90 deg. Mounting holes are provided for fixturing the squares into jigs, and a large finger hole is provided for easy setup and removal of the square from a metal surface. Model 410 also offers a covered magnet face, for easy removal of fuzz iron that may have attracted to the magnet.
