Next Steps in Weld Purging

The enhanced Pro OX-100 Oxygen Monitor and new I-Purge Extreme Harness from Aquasol improve pipeline purging operations and save time and money.

Posted: September 23, 2019

Booth B-17012: The Pro OX-100 Oxygen Monitor from Aquasol uses a new two-step 2-Point Calibration procedure for improved accuracy, consistency and reliability. The first step samples ambient air for the High Point, while the second step samples high purity (99.999 percent) argon gas for the Low Point to complete the calibration process.
Booth B-17012: The robust I-Purge Extreme Harness withstands extreme, significantly higher temperatures than 1,200 deg F and maintains a consistent level inside the pipe, preventing sagging and contact with potentially hot pipe surfaces. This is perfect for small diameter pipe applications where the arc is close to the harness and can cause irreparable damage without enough heat resistance, or if the harness rests on the pipe due to sagging.

In Booth B-17012, Aquasol Corporation (North Tonawanda, NY) will feature their enhanced Pro OX-100 Oxygen Monitor with a new two-step 2-Point Calibration procedure that improves the accuracy and reliability of the monitor. This new procedure incorporates the original method of sampling ambient air as its first step, which is now referred to as the High Point of the 2-Point Calibration. The second step samples high purity (99.999 percent) argon gas to complete the calibration process, now referred to as the Low Point of the 2-Point Calibration. This 2-Point Calibration makes the Pro OX-100 even more accurate, reliable, and consistent than before. The initial calibration procedure is carried out at Aquasol’s U.S. factory located near Buffalo, NY. Re-calibration is only necessary when the sensor is changed and can be done on-site following a simple procedure. Sensor life is guaranteed for 12 months, as is the unit.

Also on display will be their new I-Purge® Extreme Harness, an addition to their suite of modular parts for the patented I-Purge and I-Purge X Inflatable Bladder Systems. The robust design of the Extreme Harness can withstand extreme temperatures that are significantly higher than the standard harness’ maximum temperature of 1,200 deg F (650 deg C). This design also enables the harness to maintain a consistent level inside the pipe, preventing sagging and contact with potentially hot pipe surfaces. These unique features make the I-Purge Extreme Harness perfect for small diameter pipe applications where the arc will come close to the harness and can easily cause irreparable damage if there is not enough heat resistance, or if the harness is resting on the pipe due to sagging. Large diameter pipes benefit as well from extreme sagging of the harness.
