Industrial Ventilation Control System Cuts Electricity Costs

This system from Ecogate saves users 68 percent on fume/dust/mist collection system electricity costs by monitoring what their machines are doing at all times and adjusting their ventilation so they only receive suction where needed, when needed, in real-time.

In Booth B-23107, Ecogate, Inc. (North Hollywood, CA) will display their patented industrial ventilation control system that saves users 68 percent on fume/dust/mist collection system electricity costs. This is accomplished by monitoring and understanding what their machines are doing at all times and adjusting the ventilation system so that they only receive suction where it is needed, when it is needed, in real-time. A sensor is attached to each workstation. When a workstation needs ventilation, its sensor reports this to the greenBOX control unit, which opens blast gates to active workstations and closes blast gates to inactive ones. The reduced air volume requirements let the Power Master Variable Frequency Driver slow down the system fan and decreases the fan’s power consumption. The intelligent greenBOX is smart enough to always maintain appropriate transport velocities through the entire duct system.

The Ecogate system will work with any fume/dust/mist collector and fan. If a user already has a dust collector and fan, Ecogate will work with it. If a shop is designing a new ventilation system, they can provide a turnkey solution to meet those needs. They can design the entire system to work perfectly for specific requirements, to grow with the user’s business and perform at peak energy efficiency.
