FABTECH 2019 is North America’s largest collaboration of technology, equipment and knowledge in the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industry. This event takes place November 11-14 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, where more than 1,700 exhibitors and 48,000 attendees will have full access to special events, presentations, educational sessions and live demonstrations of the latest technology and integrated solutions, along with one-on-one exchanges with exhibitors and networking with industry leaders. There will also be opportunities to attend keynote presentations, discussions on key industry issues that influence manufacturing, and more. Here are some of the forming and fabricating tools, machinery and systems that will be exhibited to help you navigate the show floor and manage your time while you’re there:
Advanced Band Saws Take Center Stage
Amada Marvel will feature three vertical tilt-frame band saws, two horizontal mitering band saws, a horizontal post-style band saw and a Spartan ironworker.
High Performance, Fully-Automatic Horizontal Band Saw
The affordability, versatility and efficiency of the compact HBE-411A from Behringer Saws makes it an everyday saw for the shop.
Long and Large Part Machining in a Single Setup
The G-Series Standard Edition model 20-06 SE vertical machining center from FlexCNC is ideal for machining tube or pipe up to 20 ft long, cutting keyways and more.
Fully Automatic, Unmanned Band Sawing
For steel fabrication and cutting complex shapes, the fully automatic AV-2026NC vertical tilt frame band saw with automated feeder table from Cosen Saws allows operators to push a button and walk away until the job is completed.
Magnetic Sheet Fanners, End-Of-Arm-Tooling for More Efficient, Safer Press Room Operations
Magnetic sheet separation fanners and magnetic end-of-arm-tooling from Industrial Magnetics are ideal for handling sheet metal, metal blanks, stampings and parts in office furniture, appliance, stamping, fabrication and other applications.
Expanding the Magnetic Field in Shop Operations
Advanced magnetic systems from Master Magnetics ensure safety and speed for material handling, workholding and shop cleanup activities.
Manual to Automated Ironworkers, Saws, Pipe Notcher/Grinders
The newest machines from Scotchman help structural fabrication shops save time, reduce scrap and eliminate costly mistakes.
Stronger Band Saw Blades and a Web-Based Blade Selection Tool
Versatix MP bi-metal band saw blades and the web-based Band Saw Blade Selection Tool from Starrett help shops improve productivity and reduce costs when cutting structural profiles, bundles and other sawing applications.
Cutting-Edge Fabricating Technology
Innovative laser cutting systems, precision bending equipment and other fabricating machinery from TRUMPF introduce new machine features and automation to help shops gain a competitive advantage.
Advanced Cutting Technologies, Software and More
Hypertherm will showcase precision plasma cutting and predictive waterjet technologies, specialty torches and consumables, new versions of ProNest and Robotmaster software, and live demonstrations of the Powermax air plasma system.
How to Increase Speed in Downstream Processes
Process quality on parts coming off the EdgeBreaker 3000 deburring machine and FlatMaster 55 precision leveler from ARKU allows increased speed and reliability during downstream welding, bending and forming processes.
