AMETEK Eighty Four Hires New Product Manager

AMETEK SMP Eighty Four (Eighty Four, PA) appointed Dr. Brad Richards as their product manager of powders at their operations facility. He will be responsible for growing the company’s portfolio of water atomized and specialty metal powders, with an emphasis on developing differentiated products for new and existing customers in the automotive, industrial and defense markets. He holds a Master’s and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Virginia, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Dr. Richards has managed strategic aerospace and additive manufacturing metals portfolios, as well as metals engineering and supply-chain processes in previous roles. He has a deep background in product development and new product introduction. He is relocating to the area with his wife, Kendall, and their two young sons, in order to take up this challenging role. “I am very excited to be joining this company and look forward to the challenge of developing our products, portfolio, and customer relationships. I firmly believe in the quality and versatility of our products and am proud to represent our materials and the team who manufactures them,” he said.
