Mahr Inc. Opens Midwest Regional Customer Center
The new 7,000 sq ft facility features an extensive demonstration area, the latest equipment, and training and conference space.

Mahr Inc. (Wixom, MI) announced plans for the grand opening of their new Midwest Regional Customer Center. Located in the Detroit area in Wixom, this newly constructed 7,000 sq ft facility wholly reflects their regional strategy for the Americas: bringing expertise closer to customers. The facility features an extensive demonstration area, fully equipped with the very latest machines, systems and precision gages from their portfolio. Furthermore, the site has been specified to provide training and conference spaces, together with office spaces for the company team.
“I am excited to continue to expand our presence and reach in the United States in 2019,” said Brett Green, the chief executive officder and president of Mahr Inc. “Coupled with the recent opening of our Southeast Regional Customer Center in Greenville, SC, this represents a significant investment and one that I believe our customers and partners will be delighted to take advantage of. Our Americas headquarters remains in Providence, RI. Our facility there is home to more than 170 employees, where we continue our tradition of proudly manufacturing in the United States. With this new Detroit-area customer center, we have the capacity to grow our existing team based in Michigan and, most importantly, we satisfy the requirements of our customers to be local.”
The company continues to strengthen their North American presence by adding this second facility to the area. The existing Midwest Regional facility, located in the Cincinnati area, was opened in 2009. “As well as the strong automotive manufacturing base in the region, Michigan is recognized for advanced manufacturing and has invested in workforce training. We’re supporting this manufacturing powerhouse,” added Dave MacKenzie, the director of sales at Mahr Inc. “With our very latest technologies and solutions available at the Wixom Center, we look forward to meeting and exceeding the needs of our local customers.”
The grand opening event for this new Detroit area facility will feature a host of equipment and systems: MarShaft optical shaft measurement machines, innovative wireless gaging and broad range of hand tools, the new and totally revised MarSurf product family for contour and roughness measurement, MarForm roundness and form measurement, fully CNC-controlled measurement system for gears, as well as much more from the company’s portfolio. The event will also include Manuel Hüsken, the CSO of the Mahr Group, Carl Mahr, a member of the Mahr family and Supervisory Board, local dignitaries, and training and seminar sessions. Carl Mahr will be on-site the morning of July 26 for the official ribbon cutting and to sign free copies of “Mahr Exactly: The History of a Family Enterprise Since 1861.” Visitors are urged to bring their measurement challenges; an expert team will be on hand to offer support and solutions.
