Mary Nicholson has been named president of Die Cad Group (Grand Rapids, MI), which specializes in engineering and tooling design services for the metalworking and plastics industries. She will be responsible for running company operations, continuing to grow the business both organically and through new opportunities. Prior to joining Die Cad, Nicholson spent over 31 years working with AutoDie, most recently serving as their vice president and chief operating officer, where she was responsible for the overall implementation of world-class manufacturing principles. This resulted in consistent operational improvement and diversified their customer base by expanding their capabilities into aerospace, defense and production stampings.
“Mary’s broad experience across company operations, as well as her years in the tooling industry will be a real asset to us,” said Lee Childers, the chief executive officer of parent company Tooling Tech Group. “We are excited to have her join our team and look forward to growing the business together.” Nicholson has over 34 years’ experience in the automotive industry. She is a graduate of Ferris State University with a B.S. in business and has a master’s degree in business administration and management from Aquinas College.
