EBTEC Completes Move and Expansion

EBTEC Corporation (East Windsor, CT) has a new AS9100 Rev. D certified, 83,500 sq ft, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in East Windsor, CT. The expansive footprint has become home to an array of new manufacturing equipment. Three new recently acquired five-axis Laserdyne fiber laser machining systems complement the four existing fiber laser systems and five conventional laser systems. Other new investments include CNC milling machines, vertical turning machines, laser marking systems, vision inspection systems, a five-axis PAR Vector abrasive waterjet and a major rebuild of all of their electron beam welding technology.

Additionally, the company now offers coating services with the recent acquisition of four air-plasma and HVOF coatings booths. The opportunity to offer thermal processes is part of the strategic growth plan that has been supported by parent company EDAC Technologies (Cheshire, CT). The addition of these machines, coupled with existing capabilities, has allowed them to align internal operations with many of their customers’ advanced technologies. Vast numbers of customer re-qualification efforts have been met with minimal effect to deliverables and their customers. The energies expended by the company’s team members made this move possible and has created added value for customers.
