Absolute Machine Partners with Sussex Tool & Supply

Absolute Machine Tools, Inc. (Lorain, OH) established a partnership with Sussex Tool & Supply (Sussex, WI), whose Hightech Machinery division specializes in CNC machine tools and robotic equipment, and their Alpha Gage division is an accredited gage calibration and repair company. They have locations in Sussex, Madison, WI, and Rockford, IL. “This partnership provides both companies with technical and geographic advantages in terms of a wide-ranging product offering, as well as proximity to customers in Wisconsin and Illinois,” noted Steve Ortner, the founder and president of Absolute.

With this partnership, Absolute is relocating their Elgin, IL, operation to Rockford to better serve customers in both states and expanding their service and engineering departments to enhance their ability to provide engineered manufacturing solutions. A key addition is a new robotic systems department that focuses on helping customers implement automation and robotics for tasks such as machine tending and visual part inspection. The goal is to eliminate problems resulting from workforce and skilled labor shortages and enable customers to run lights out, three shifts, 24/7.
