HMI Expands into Western Canada

Their new Calgary office will support diverse manufacturing industries from Manitoba through British Columbia.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (HMI; North Kingstown, RI) expanded their footprint into western Canada with a new office in Calgary, AB. This new location and staff will serve the region’s diverse range of manufacturing industries, including aerospace, oil and gas, advanced composites, MRO, agriculture, bus and rail, machinery, wood products and more. The facility will accommodate business offices and a training room, with ample space to offer seminars covering their most innovative metrology and manufacturing technologies including laser trackers, articulating arms, scanners, CMMs, software and automated systems. The regional office resides at their state-of-the-art Calgary campus that opened in September 2018. The spacious 160,000 sq ft, Silver LEED-rated facility, which is also the area headquarters for other Hexagon divisions, is located at 10921 – 14 Street NE, Calgary, AB, Canada T3K 2L5.

Heading the regional office, Alberto Silva will serve as a sales engineer for West Canada, covering Manitoba through British Columbia. His background includes the oil and gas industry and the manufacture of rotating machinery. He applies over 20 years of technical sales and consulting expertise to finding solutions for complex problems and making processes work better for the customer. Silva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
