Hartwig, Inc. (St. Louis, MA) promoted Seth Machlus to their executive vice president of operations. Previously, he held the title of the vice president of operations for the past five years. “This change in title is an opportunity to recognize the impact and dedication Seth has embodied during his ten years with our organization,” said Geoff Hartwig, the company president. “He has taken on various projects, challenges, and served on our leadership team as we have grown. We look forward to his continued efforts in developing the business and strengthening our organization in support of our customers and manufacturers.”
“For me, this is just an amazing continuation of a role and opportunity. Some people have jobs and others have careers, but for me, it is the latter. I get to work with one of the finest machine tool and technology distributors in the country and work alongside so many of the finest people in the industry,” said Machlus. “Ten years ago, the Hartwig family took a chance on me and I will continue to do everything in my power to support the company and our 190 teammates.”
Machlus began his career in the manufacturing industry when he joined Okuma America Corporation in Charlotte, NC, in 2001. Prior to that, he spent time working with several information technology startup companies in the Southeast U.S. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a minor in Economics from the University of Florida in Gainesville. In addition to his degree, he has his CMTSE certification, along with various computer technology certifications.
