In Booth B-6051, LISSMAC Corporation (Waterford, NY) will display their new SMD 133 DRS machine for slag removal, deburring, and edge rounding of plasma and oxy-fuel cut parts. It has a 37 in working width and minimum part size of 11 in x 2 in. The deslagging unit (D) features tried and true power-pin belts to chip of slag, followed by a wide belt grinding unit (R) for deburring and a sanding block belt unit (S) with popular “S-blocks” for consistently rounded edges. Cost effective and compact in design, the SMD is the ideal lean alternative to a full-fledged SBM deslagging line and is suited for small steel service centers in particular.
