Harvey Performance Company, LLC (Rowley, MA) has announced, the entire end mill tool libraries for both Harvey Tool and Helical Solutions, representing more than 14,000 SKU’s, are available to upload into Autodesk Inc.’s (San Francisco, CA) Fusion 360 CAM Software. This new partnership eliminates the need for machinists to manually build tools for projects programmed with their software, resulting in substantial time savings.
Partnership Overview:
- All Harvey Tool and Helical Solutions end mills are now available to download and easily import into Fusion 360 software.
- Comprehensive dimensional and required geometrical data, data users would otherwise be required to measure themselves, is now available for more than 14,000 tools.
- Speeds and feeds information is not prepopulated, allowing users to determine the appropriate running parameters for their specific job and machining setups.
- Harvey Tool and Helical Solutions will continue to add more tool libraries for import into the software over the next several months. Future updates will include Harvey Tool specialty profiles and drills, as well as Helical Solutions Chamfer Mills.
“Before our partnership, Fusion 360 users would have to manually import the tool’s .DXF from the websites, or edit the tool in the software, defining all of the dimensions of our tools,” stated David Pichette, the technical development engineer. “Through this partnership, tools available for download will already have all of the necessary tool dimensions and required geometries defined. The customer can confidently import them directly from their download folder into the software, add them to the job they are working on, and eliminate a big chunk of time-consuming work.”
“We feel this partnership is a tremendous advantage for our customers and consistent with how we strive to delight our customers,” stated the vice president of engineering, Jeff Davis. “Not only do we process orders and ship tools same-day to provide a time advantage, but even programming a job is faster now. This is just another example of our company going the extra mile.”
