In Booth B-5909, Amada Marvel, Inc. (Oshkosh, WI) will display their wide array of vertical and horizontal band saws, ironworkers, material handling systems, blades, parts, service and much more. This equipment achieves simplicity and strength in construction, speed through accuracy of operation, and adaptation to a shop’s specific need to help them save time and make money. Some recent upgrades to this line include: optional full stroke hydraulic vises for our 8-Mark-III, shuttle laser mapping for improved accuracy of length, user friendly programmable control enhancements, now with self-diagnostics, ironworkers with bright LED lighting in the work areas for improved visibility, a fine adjustment on the electric back-gauge, and new ratchet style handles standard throughout the ironworker line. Also on display will be the Series 2000 with electric-tilt:

  • The design of the new column structure is more rigid than the older design. Less deflection when tilting leading to better accuracies.
  • The guide arm design now travels on a linear bearing, providing a smooth adjustment. This update eliminates the guide arm chattering.
  • The electric-tilt provides a more consistent control. Hydraulic flow is temperature dependent and unreliable, due to low flow rates required to precisely adjust to angles.
  • The carriage design is now cast iron. In the industry, cast iron is known for its vibration dampening properties and Amada Marvel has taken advantage of using it in this application.
  • A new blade break sensor update is now available on the Series 2000.
