In Booth B-8673, Chase Cooling Systems (Washington, PA) will display their QBE series of air-cooled fluid chillers that come fully packaged with refrigeration system, controls, storage tank, and pump. These machines are simple to set-up and integrate well into both OEM equipment and with existing machinery. The 16 different QBE models range in cooling capacity from half-ton to seven tons and include non-ferrous fluid circuits. Models are available with both three-phase and single-phase power supplies to accommodate shop designs. With a variety of optional features, QBE chillers can be customized to meet the needs of a diverse range of applications, from resistance welding to lasers to EDM. Models with hot gas bypass valves provide the highly accurate temperature control necessary for both cutting and joining processes. With powder-coated panels, QBE models can be installed either indoors or outdoors, and an optional wheel kit makes movement between points of use easy.

Additional QBE models tailored specifically for laser applications will be available later this year and come standard with the hot gas bypass valve and non-ferrous water circuit. New features include a disconnector circuit for the process flow and additional internal pumps. Also on display will be the portable QBS series of industrial fluid chillers suitable for welders that use an air-cooled refrigeration system to provide up to half-ton cooling capacity in a compact package. Available in both 115/1/60 and 230/1/60 versions, these units work for typical shop power configurations. Their small size of 18.4 in W x 20.2 in D x 24 in H makes movement from process to process easy. Both the QBS001 and the QBS002 models come fully packaged with a non-ferrous fluid circuit, an insulated, stainless steel 4 gal tank, and an integral pump. The refrigerant circuit relies on a reciprocating compressor and environmentally friendly R134a refrigerant to cool the system.

Every unit also contains an easy to understand microprocessor control to maintain fluid temperature, operate pump & compressor, and display alarms. The ready-to-use nature of this series makes for a quick and easy installation and start-up. Both models in the series can be configured with wheels for added portability.
