Abtex Appoints New Vice President

Abtex Corporation (Dresden, NY) has promoted Damian Clemons to vice president of engineering. He joined company in 2015 when Abtex acquired his company, Nihmble Technologies. Most recently, he served as the Systems Group manager, overseeing the design and development of all Systems Group technologies, which include traditional brush/machine deburring systems as well as robotic systems. In that role, he helped accelerate growth in the design and production of robotic systems for manufacturing, systems integration, and process control. Prior to Nihmble Technologies, Clemons held positions of steadily increasing responsibility in control technology and automation for smaller companies.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. “Since joining us, Damian has distinguished himself not only as an outstanding engineer, but also as a creative problem-solver and an excellent manager of technical personnel and operations,” said Jason Saner, the president of Abtex. “We are confident that his leadership of all engineering operations will continue to provide ongoing benefits for our customers.”
